It would be wonderful if we always had every piece of the complete Aurora Glassware Collection in stock. However, as you probably know, our glass smiths and artists make everything by hand. It’s all hand-blown, hand-finished, and hand-painted — by artisans who put their heart and soul into their work.
Their skills are rare, and they are in demand.
After all, there are only so many people in the world who can take a glob of what is, effectively, molten sand and turn it into something this beautiful.
Because of this, our team of glass smiths and artists is small, and there are only so many pieces we can produce in any one week. What is more, some of the larger pieces, like the Aurora Wine Decanter, take a long time.
Also — to be completely candid with you — since we started advertising on Facebook, our following of connoisseurs has grown significantly.
What does all this mean?
Firstly, if you want to build a complete collection of Aurora glassware (and the vast majority of our customers do), you might need to wait patiently.
However, having to wait isn’t always a bad thing.
When it comes to building something exquisite, like a collection of fine glassware that will be passed down your family for generations, there is a refined pleasure in waiting patiently while time works its magic.
In today’s world of mass-production and instant gratification, needing to wait reassures us that we are investing in genuine art and craftsmanship.
Wouldn’t you agree?
It’s like waiting for a bespoke suit or a pair of handmade shoes.
When it comes to elegance, time is your friend.
And what about the second thing?
If there’s a particular piece that you have your eye on, and an opportunity presents itself for you to acquire it, then you should seize that moment.
Because we often run out of stock without any notice — and when that happens, it could be many months before our artisans produce more of that specific piece you’ve had your eye on for many months.
