Bring the Northern Lights of Scotland into Your Home
Each year, 2.2 million people visit the Highlands of Scotland. They come to see the misty glens and the rugged mountains, and to breathe in the legends that surround our ruined castles like a mist. As the New York Times puts it, these lands “shimmer with a physical beauty”. JK Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, describes them as “hauntingly beautiful”.
However, what most folks do not see is the aurora borealis. For Scotland is not as far north as Iceland or Norway. Our Northern Lights are rarer, more elusive. And they last for just a few moments.
Like every piece in the Aurora Collection, these wine glasses capture the essence of Scotland’s aurora borealis, so that you can bring this heavenly dance of color into your dining room and share it with your friends, family, and those you love.
We spent more than a year carefully refining the palette of colors our artists use, so that every glass shimmers in the same breathtaking kaleidoscope of colors as the Northern Lights.
As you take each one out the box for the first time and hold it up to the light, you will see that it glistens in its own unique way. For each is a unique work of creation. A unique expression of the Aurora Borealis of the Highlands of Scotland.
Elegant “statement” glassware.
The kind of stunning pieces that will make your guests gasp out loud when you place them on the table.
Experience the Pleasure of Drinking from a Mouth-Blown Wine Glass
It’s well known that your choice of glassware can dramatically elevate your enjoyment and appreciation of fine wine.
Anthony Gismondi — an international wine judge and respected wine connoisseur — points out that, depending on the stemware you’re drinking from, when you “put your lips on the rim of the glass, [you’ll] know the wine will or won’t taste as good as it should.” Alex La Pratt, the master sommelier who works alongside double-Michelin-Star chef Daniel Boulud, puts it this way: “There is no replacing the pleasure of drinking out of a mouth-blown glass.” Our sentiments exactly.
Which is why every Aurora Whiskey Glass is a unique, hand-crafted work of art.
Someone who isn’t used to owning luxury glassware might find this strange. But it’s a different experience when you drink from a work of ancient art. The way the stem sits softly between your fingers. The sensation on your lips when they first touch the glass. Someone poured their heart and soul into this unique work of creation, using skills that took many generations to perfect.
And it’s as if, on some level, your senses know it.
You just cannot get this from a mass-produced glass that rolled off a production line. It’s something you can only experience with an authentic, mouth-blown glass. And we too believe this near-imperceptible quality changes how the drink tastes.
Support a 2,000-Year-Old Tradition of Glassblowing That Is Almost Lost
Our glass smiths work their craft according to an ancient tradition that has been taught and passed down from master to apprentice, master to apprentice for more than 2,000 years. This art of glassblowing originated from the Roman Republic, before the birth of Jesus Christ.
It takes more than 10 years of careful practice and supervision for an apprentice glass smith to master the art of blowing glass — to acquire the necessary skill, dexterity, and experience needed to transform a glob of molten glass into a fine piece of stemware that brings your wine to life. A decade of toil, sweat, and tears. And many thousands of pieces made under the supervision of an experienced master. This is the way glass blowing has been taught and passed down since the furnaces of Ancient Rome.
Sadly, few young people are taking up this noble profession. In a generation or two, this old craft may be lost forever. This gives your new Aurora Whiskey Glasses special meaning and value.
Not only is each piece a gorgeous work of art — it’s also an investment in a craft, a tradition, and, some might say, an ethos that may no longer exist in the future. Your investment helps keep it alive for another generation.
Invest in Heirloom-Quality Glassware Your Family Will Treasure
Each one of your new Aurora Whiskey Glasses is a treasure.
A unique, handmade work of art — blown by a master glass smith (according to a craft that has been passed down from master to apprentice since before the birth of Jesus Christ) and painted by a skilled artist.
When you take them out of the box, you will see immediately that each glass was crafted by human hands. For each has its own pattern of segments, brushstrokes, and arrangement of different hues that come together and make it an individual work of art. No two glasses will ever be identical. Yet, as a complete set, every piece sits together like members of a close family.
Your growing collection of Aurora glassware is an heirloom to be treasured for many lifetimes. A legacy of art, culture, and worldliness to pass down to your children and grandchildren. A gorgeous memento of time spent together as a family.

Guaranteed Satisfaction and 1-Year Warranty
Your purchase of Aurora Whiskey Glasses and other pieces in the Aurora Collection is covered by two guarantees.
The first is our satisfaction guarantee. When you take your new works of art out the box and hold them up to the light, you will feel delighted and will know in your heart that you made a wise choice in investing in these pieces of luxury stemware. If, for any reason you’re not satisfied with your purchase today, you can return your glassware within 30 days of purchase and get a full refund or a replacement. (We will pay for the shipping.)
Your purchase today is also protected by a one-year warranty. In the unlikely event that a piece of your glassware breaks because of a defect from the hand-crafting process, we will replace it at our expense. (You can read the details of our warranty here.)
Handmade in Small Quantities — Often Out of Stock
Because every Aurora Glass is a mouth-blown and hand-painted work of art, the number of pieces that our workshops produce is, unfortunately, very small. When our warehouse runs out of stock, it is often several months before new pieces become available.
If you come back to this page at a future date, we cannot guarantee there will be any of these available still, even for pre-order purchases. Therefore, to avoid disappointment, we recommend that you secure your new glasses immediately by completing your purchase now.
